The program officially kicks off on January 15th, beginning with the orientation phase.
Participants receive comprehensive support including free technical training, branded T-shirts, transportation, feeding, and certificates of completion.
Graduates receive startup tools and are guided into recognized markets in Abuja where their skills are in demand, ensuring immediate employment opportunities.
The best-performing participant receives professional tools worth ₦1.5 million, while all other participants receive basic starter tools to begin their careers.
Participants will receive training in:
1. Waste-to-Energy and E-Waste Repurposing Technology
2. Basic Web Development & Digital Skills
3. Personal Development and Life Skills
The orientation phase prepares participants mentally, emotionally, and socially before technical training. It includes sessions with psychologists and Islamic scholars focusing on mindset development, discipline, and personal responsibility.
Training is conducted in both Hausa and English to ensure all participants can fully engage and benefit from the program.
Participants will learn basic website creation, digital literacy fundamentals, and how to use professional digital tools for business communication and marketing.
The complete program runs for 90 days, transforming participants from street life to skilled technicians ready for employment.
New Horizons is committing ₦50 million from its CSR budget to fund this initiative, covering training delivery, tools, equipment, participant welfare, and post-training empowerment.
